# The Story of Nyx
It is known that the Steward of Destiny likes their isolation. Though in good rapport with most Celestials, Alher makes no Elohim to accompany him in his tasks, nor does he keep much company. However, there are two whose company he does allow. Most obvious of all, the Allfather himself. Ellathin and Alher have always been close. The second one, however, is a less obvious pick. From deep within the marble halls of the court of Dealings, far away in the Fey Forests, sits the Lord of Dealings Nyx. Nyx is of a smaller statue than most lords and ladies. His bright red skin is carried by two butterfly wings, decorated with a multitude of iridescent colors. His face is framed by two small curved horns and between his legs his bovian tail curls. This Fey creature is one of the only friends of the Steward of Destiny, and was known to frequently meet him for discussions and conversation. Though Alher was a weak conversationalist, as they could not say anything that would influence the passing of fate, Nyx found a solace in the wise truths that Alher spoke and their rapport was soothing to the Fey.
This, however, was not the case this time around. Flying up towards the gardens of destiny, Nyx found his friend sitting at the intricately decorated fountain in the middle of the garden. Before speaking to him, Nyx noticed the solemn feeling emanating from his friend. His silence feeling less out of wisdom, but more an inner lament.
### The Law of Order
In the meantime, the forces of the Myst Wode have caught wind of foul play by the Celestials and listen in on the Elohim of Bonifeth that are discussing the Law of Order. They report back to the Maelstrom, who calls a meeting with all the High Primordials in the Elemental Storms. Enraged by this betrayal, especially Ignan, they decide that they would march upon the Golden City to demand an explanation and a settlement for the Law of Chaos in restitution. Though some find the Law of Chaos to be too far and would settle for the Law of Nature, they agree something must be done.
### March of the Elementals
The horde of Elementals go to the Fey Forests to ask for their support in their cause and explain the Law of Order to them. Some of the fey are angered, while others remain indifferent. Oberon declares that the Fey Forests will not officially mobilize, but those that wish to join the march are free to do so. Seeing the immense force of creatures gathered to demand reparations, Nyx is afraid that this is exactly what Alher was afraid off. Nyx rushes to Alher to ask if this is what was on his mind, so they can warn the Allfather beforehand and prepare for negotiations so that bloodshed may be avoided. Trixshade, first prince of the Fey Forests, sees the war as an opportunity to kill off his parents and finally ascend to the throne. He notices Nyx acting weird and sneaking off, so he follows them to the Golden City.
### A Brutal Ruse
Trixshade eavesdrops on Nyx's plea to Alher, who solemnly tells him that nothing can be done anymore. Seeing the gravitas of the situation and the fact that the Allfather is not yet informed about this, Trixshade sees his opportunity. He tells Valor and Gilgalan in disguise as a Seraphim that a horde of Elementals have come to attack and kill the Allfather and take over the Golden City. In response they collect a force of Elohim and Seraphim to protect the borders of the City and face the horde before they can touch their homes. Trixshade sneaks back into shadow, while Nyx goes to warn Ellathin. As Nyx returns to the Fey Forests, hoping to have resolved the problem, Ellathin calls for a meeting. However, Guthran reveals that the problem is already being dealt with.
### Betrayer of Kin
When Nyx returns, Oberon summons him to the courts. There they learned that the Celestials somehow knew of their coming and had attacked them on sight. Trixshade also plays into this saying he saw Nyx sneak away towards the Golden City. Nyx confirms he warned Ellathin, but swears he implored for a non-violent approach and helped prepare for negotiations. Oberon is furious for the fey lives lost due to this betrayal and sends Nyx away, warning him about the vengeance that the Elementals will seek. Back in his court, Nyx is attacked by a fire elemental assassin. Knowing he cannot be safe, he goes into hiding, leaving his court to run on its own.
