You connect to the seedlings deep within the sleeping earth and bond with them. In a half mile radius around you, a lush grove starts to appear. The trees and underbrush push through the ground and grow to full size in a matter of hours. The trees grow through dirt, cobbled rock, wood, stone surfaces no thicker than 5 foot, and metal surfaces no thicker than 10 inches.
When you cast this spell, you can choose up to 10 additional creatures who can safely traverse through the grove and will gain the benefits of its protection. Any other creature than the ones that you choose that enters the grove will suffer the hostile effects of the grove.
If you, or any creatures that benefit from the grove’s protection, are in the grove, you gain advantage on Dexterity (Stealth), Intelligence (Nature), and Wisdom (Survival) checks performed in the grove. You are impossible to track by non-magical means, and any unauthorized creatures that enter the grove leave a magical trail of glowing wisps only you can see. The grove provides enough food to forage for you to survive off of it and the trees part and grow to provided a shelter if needed.
If an unauthorized creature enters the grove, they have disadvantage on Dexterity (Stealth), Wisdom (Survival), Intelligence (Nature), and Wisdom (Perception) checks, as the trees reshape and move to purposefully hamper the creatures goals. The creature also has disadvantage on any check made with Navigational tools. It is impossible for them to find non poisonous food within the grove. The grove counts as difficult terrain and if the creature tries to cross the full grove, they need to make a Constitution saving throw or become exhausted. If the creature is asleep or unconscious in the grove, the roots of the trees will try to grapple and restrain the creature. A grappled creature can make a Strength saving throw to break out of the tree roots. Over the course of 1 minute, the tree roots will try to pull the creature underground, after which the creature is buried and starts suffocating.
As an action, you can dismiss the grove, which will slowly start to wither and die over the following few days. The grove cannot be dispelled or destroyed by non magical means. Magical fire can burn the grove down, which ends the spell’s effect.
